Merced Golf & Country Club is a Private 18 hole golf course located in Merced, California.
Established in 1926 MGCC is rich in golfing tradition and history. The course was redesigned by Bob Baldock in 1961.
Rolling terrain, abundance of trees, lakes and streams add to the beauty and challenges of Baldock's design.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6519 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5696 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 7, a par-5 that plays to 559 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 17, a par-3 that plays to 144 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 3, a 420 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Merced Golf & Country Club is # 17, the 144 yard par-3.

The fairways were overwatered in several areas. Greens were soft and held most shots nicely. They were on the slow side and a few were a little bumpy or thin (#2, 7). Summers are hot here and watering is on the wet side which kept everything green but wet. Fun course to play.
