This is an improved course for women. LA City courses are too long for most women from the forward (red) tees, averaging 6200-6400 yards. Hansen Dam added shorter forward tees (yellow), which now average 5400+ yards, making it much more enjoyable to play and to score well. Slope/rating is 70.9/117 for a par of 72. It is not difficult to find good teetimes on weekdays.

They recently reversed the nines on this course, now the old number ten hole is number one and the old number one is ten. This has caused some delay when starting that usually eases on the fourth or fifth hole. This was done so that players would finish at the club house/bar, but most use carts so you still end at the cart shack just like before. This is a better than average high use muni course.

Teed off at 11:30 and finished in the dark at 5:05. Ugh, can I say pace of play 3 times slow? The reversal of the nines is (as Artie Johnson would have said), very interesting, but stupid. The back up is ridiculous as everyone is trying to drive both greens at 10 & 11 which are 275 and 240. Of course that didn't keep the meathead behind us on 2 from driving into us as we were putting out. However, the course was in good shape and the greens consistent. The new front nine can really be scored on but the new back nine is a better challenge. Overall, I'd go back but I'd sure like to see the nines put back the way they were and a couple of marshals on the course to keep it moving.
