The Country Club of Rancho Bernardo, previously named Rancho Bernardo Golf Club is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Rancho Bernardo, California. In July 1998, the membership, not wanting to be confused with the nearby Rancho Bernardo Inn, and wishing to be known by a name which better matched its upscale appeal, changed their name to "The Country Club of Rancho Bernardo."
The course first opened for play in 1965. The course was designed by William Bell. Ted Robinson redesigned several holes and made maintenance / irrigation and drainage updates in 1980. Stephen Halsey and Jack Daray Jr. redesigned the course in 1991.

The Golf Course at The Country Club of Rancho Bernardo plays to a par of 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6,517 yards. From the forward tees the course plays to 5,546 yards. The longest hole on the course is #1, a par-5 that plays to 490 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 12, a par-3 that plays to 167 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 7, a 441 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Rancho Bernardo is # 11, a par-4 that measures 318 yards from the tips.

The course is known for great conditioning. The fairways are wide. Water hazards come into play on three holes. The greens are medium in size and speed.

The greens are always in great shape! They are fast, true and receptive. There are several holes with beautiful views, nice lakes and challenging uphill and downhill holes. The service is outstanding! The Golf staff is wonderful. They are very friendly and knowledgeable! The food is delicious and the pace of play is 4 hours or less!!! This is the best golf secret in San Diego. If you get the chance to play here, take it!

The best weather I've seen in the fall. Great layout with just the right amount of risk/reward. They now have six tees to choose from, giving you the level you want. From the back tees it's tough but not so bad you can't enjoy it. The greens were some of the best I've played in years. Highly recommend the course.

The best year around golf course in San Diego County. Members also can belong to the Silver & Golden Seniors which play matches with all of the very best private clubs in San Diego County at no charge. CCRB always seems to be in the best condition of all.

This course has an interesting layout and is in excellent condition. While this is not a particularly long course the rough can be difficult and the greens can be challenging. The couse uses well water so it is in good shape even during the summer months when many courses in the area get burned. I have palyed this course hundreds on times and never get tired of the challenges it presents. I highly recommend this course to anyone in or passing through the area.

I've been a member at RBCC for about 3-1/2 years, and my wife and I love it here. The course is challenging enough for most players without being ridiculous. Most of the fairways are in great shape year-round, and the greens are some of the best in the San Diego area. The members and staff are gracious and friendly as well. I would highly recommend this club to anyone looking for their first club membership, or those looking to change.

I've been a member since 1992. In 1999 the name was changed to The Country Club of Rancho Bernardo, and a new clubhouse and bar were built It's a retirement length course...6500 yards from the back tees; five sets of tee boxes. Site of the Callaway Junior Golf Championships (11-12)and also hosted qualifying for the US Senior Open. It's a member of the Private Club Network. It has the best greens in the Poway - Rancho Bernardo area and is adjacent to the Rancho Bernardo Inn, a 5-star resort, which has a separate 18 hole public course. CCRB is presently seeking new members at reasonable prices. I'd be happy to sponsor those interested!

Nice private and user-friendly country club course. Fairways are tree-lined but have ample room. Most holes are gently rolling and have slight doglegs. Greens are pure, hold well, and average sized. Bunkers are nicely maintained. Overall, this is a country club course that is not excessively difficult for the members and can be scored on. However a few lakes and a good number of trees can lead to trouble. A fun course!
