The ownership has worked hard to improve this course. It is not easy, but that's the fun. Great greens.

I like the course. It is tough but fair. Fairly flat on the front nine and very hilly on the back nine.

If your looking for difficult this is it. Most of the fairways slope to the "ditch" so placement is key. The best greens in O.C. The locals do a friday scramble at 4 pm. Any one can join in and hear some great stories about the course and area. With nice cool breezes in afternoon its' a great way to end a stressful week!

Unfortunately, it took almost 6 hours to play Shorecliffs Golf Course. The course has narrow fairways. The conditioning was poor. The big plus was the good price, however the pace was hard to take.

When playing Shorecliffs remember where you are....South Orange County and a beautiful beach community. Many of the players here are locals who appreciate the price and close knit group that plays on a regular basis. If you are coming from out of town this is a difficult layout with extremely narrow fairways and nearly every hole with OB or a hazard that comes into play. Don't expect Talega, but don't be put off by the rustic ambiance. This is a challenging course that will frustrate the single digit handicaper.

Will only play Talega the next time I am in San Clemente. Twice the price of Shorecliffs but a 5X better track.

Decent course for the price. Some holes are kind if strange, but interesting. It's not too often you start on the #1 handicapped hole.

Challenging greens in super shape. Easy pace of play, narrow at times that requires some study.

The course is older style with mature trees. It is in a flood plain and therefore there are some bare spots on the fairways. Otherwise the course is in very good shape. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Overall a very good value for a very nice course.

Older established course with plenty of hole to hole variability that'll keep you thinking.

Tough course if you're new to it, we were. Greens are particularly hard to read and surprisingly fast. Houses around the course ranged from cliff hangers (and there was actually sign that said "Caution: sudden earth movement can occur) to mobile homes in not very good condition. Still, an interesting day and you can't beat the price. Obviously an older course in the area and it helped that we caught up with someone who had played it often. Wouldn't go out of my way to play it, but if in the area, would play it again.
