Best course in the area, which really isn't saying much. A little pricey, but worth it if you're local and don't want to travel far for a course in this condition, which has been above average every time I've played there. If you've put in your time at VB, Swenson, and Micke's, this is the next step.

Although we had heavy frost that morning,we were allowed to play before the frost had melted. I have never seen this at any other course.Pro shop said it was O.K. What kind of grass was that???

A great day for golf, right time of year even though the course is prone to windiness I think the fall offers less severe wind conditions.

The Reserve at Spanos Park is my favorite course. I recomended it last year to the club I belong to and they scheduled it this year last month(July). The club has been active in the Central Valley for 20 or more years and had never played the Reserve! I could not believe it! I believe it will be on our schedule from now on.

I may be biased because I'm in love with the course design by Andy Raugust, but as with Deer Ridge, it's a wonderful course. Nothing overly difficult, but you have to think about what you're doing. Staff there were wonderful.

No other real options for the area, so Spanos wins out by default. It's a good course, but nothing spectacular and a lot of the holes start to look the same.

The course displays challenging contour and at the same time is easily walkable. The par threes are reachable by most hitters and the par fives are challenging while some are reachable by the longer hitters. There is water on eleven holes and sand guarding most of the greens. The sand is often not of "Tour" quality. The staff is knowledgeable helpful and personable. It is a very good place to play.
