The course was in great shape. We played Friday morning and there was no one oin the course.Perfect!! The greens were in good shape but VERY slow. Maybe had just been sanded or still had a lot of water in them. Tried to get on Sunday at the same time and it was sold out.

Disappointed.
Played twilight rates w/ NCGA discount for $100.00. Although its a forest course, I got the feeling, like w/ most developements, the houses got the best land and the golf course came last. For its location in the forests of Truckee, not many spectacular views or holes. A few of the last holes (15-17) border a deep ridge/ravine with stunning vistas but all in all, not many doglegs, most holes play straightand are fairly routine. Great bunkers. Great condition, though greens were bordering on rock hard.
Final opinion. Not worth the big bucks. Wouldn't play again.

This is the third time I have played this course and this year was the most difficult. As someone with a higher handicap, the green speed and contours were quite challenging. Also, the greens are very well protected by bunkers. The course was in great condition. For players with a lower handicap, I think, with the NCGA discount we took advantage of, I would recommend it to others. For players like me, I think that there are other courses in the area which seem to play better, with a bit less frustration.
