This is a fine golf course that went into a bit of a state of disrepair a few years back. It is now in GREAT shape and it looks like the new owners are working to upgrade the other aspects (clubhouse, etc.). It is worth the money for the great layout and the pristine condition of the course.

Plum Creek was and still is a great course--but it has fallen in recent years due to lack of money and (I think) poor management. As you drive into the parking lot, the cement is horribly chewed up and ugly--you could hardly get a worse initial impression. The driving range is too small. The putting and chipping green areas are fine. The maintenance on the course is not bad at all. The bar and grill services have become very limited in recent years--it used to be great. You can't drive the carts to your car--a real problem for me (severe arthritis)--they claim it's an insurance problem when what they really mean is proper insurance would be more expensive. Since there's a steep hill between the clubhouse and the parking lot, it's a real pain for everyone, healthy or not. They have five sets of tees so that, in theory, you can play any distance and difficulty you choose. But the tee markers are on the correct tee box only by pure chance. Almost all of them are moved up. So you're not at all playing the distance you think you chose. Why even have a scorecard when it doesn't match the tee markers at all? It's ridiculous. As on other courses, I assume it is to speed up play--and that's not taking care of the golfers but taking care of yourself. So the customer "service" is absolutely missing. Very irritating. They have very low-priced specials in order to attract business. But there's a lot of things they could do to attract business even at higher prices if they would fix the things I've mentioned. This course should be able to charge $75 instead of the $25-$30 we paid--I think they need a real take-charge, qualified manager!

Got a late season special, making the round a great value. Any November golf in Denver is a bonus, if the course and weather conditions are tolerable. Maybe not a regular stop, but an occasional one.

Not to evil for a Pete Dye course. A couple of gimmicky holes, but overall interesting and pleasing to the eye. Rack rate is a little steep, but we got a deal on Golf Now. Practice area is so-so. Pro shop and restaurant not operating in early April. Season starts in mid-month. Uphill walk from bag drop to parking lot.

The club house and the driveways are being remodeled, so the ambience is lowered. The course is shaping up as the grass gets greener and the greens get in better shape.
