Greeley Country Club opened in 1920. The course was designed by Tom Bendelow. Press Maxwell designed the back nine, which opened in 1962, and he redesigned the existing holes at the same time.
Greeley Country Club is an enjoyable course with small greens, plenty of out-of-bounds, water, bunkers and some 2000 mature trees that can alter your shots. Water hazards come into play on at least three different occasions. In addition, numerous sand bunkers protect the fairways and greens, so shot accuracy is at a premium.
Par for the course is 70. From the back tees the course plays to 6,534 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,732 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 15, a par-5 that plays to 532 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 16, a par-3 that plays to 177 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 6, a 442 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Greeley Country Club is # 14, a 342 yard par-4.

Since its private, I probabley will not play this course again. The greens were in great condition but very fast and difficult to read. The staff were great. The fairways are separated by mature trees which, in some cases, makes for a narrow fairway. Very nice course but not for me.
