Detailed description of Sunset Golf Course
Sunset Golf Course, is a Public, 9 hole golf course located in Longmont, Colorado.
Sunset is one of the most scenic nine-hole courses in Colorado, known for good conditioning, tree-lined fairways and spectacular views of Longs Peak.
Sunset golf course is the oldest of Longmont's golf courses having first opened for play in 1924. A golf professional from Denver, Mr. Groesbeck, was paid $25 a day (an average days wages in the 1920s was $5) to lay out the course.
Blue tees: par-34, 2,983 yards, 33.5 / 113
White tees: par-34, 2,889 yards, 32.7 / 109
Red tees: par-36, 2,718 yards, 34.9 / 117
$21 (cart included), played on Sunday, June 2008 at 4pm
If the greens were in better condition the course would be a worthy play
$26 (cart included), played on Thursday, June 2007 at 2pm
Course was in great condition. Due to the lower cost to play this 9 hole course, you have a number of "beginner" players which slows play. Took me 3 hrs to play 9 holes!!
