Formerly a private golf community, Fox Acres has recently opened to the public. It had been over 10 years since I played the course and I was delighted by the challenge. Water comes into play on several holes, in particular Hole 1, with a 200 yard carry to the fairway and Hole 18, a par three with a full carry and no bail out before the front of the green. Because it is a mountain course, the greens are somewhat stressed, but even when in great shape, they add considerable difficulty to the course. My wife and I are happy enough with the set-up we are considering buying property in the area. Look forward to playing Fox Acres regularly in the future.
