Richter Park Golf Course is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Danbury, Connecticut.
The course first opened for play in 1972. Richter Park Golf Course was designed by Edward C. Ryder.
This award winning 18-hole gem has undergone extensive renovations in the last several years including 2008's redesign and renovation of all 49 bunkers. Richter Park is a par-72 layout that plays to a maximum distance of 6,740 yards. The course rating is 73.0 and the slope rating is 130.

Played Richter the last week of the early season rates; course was in great shape. Recommend the same to anyone who would like to play a very nice course at a decent rate. I probably would not pay prime season rates; longish commute from home.

My favorite course in the area....have played it many times. Staff very helpful in locating lost balls after blind shots. Fairways in great shape, but some greens still suffering from winter damage....still worth the price.

The course is the Best when in season but now in November the Greens are Pluged and sanded and after 3 days of rain the Greens were never put in any condition to be played !! Not rolled or blown off !!! I know its off season and the price is rite for the course but it still must be Playable !! Tees and Greens this time of year must be at least acceptable !!I understand the pluging and sanding , but not preaparing them for fall play Unacceptable !!The Management gets a BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !! wake up people drive for hours to play Richter Park don't ruin your name by being Frugal in November othewise your shotgun start will be M ___ T ___ !!!!

Love this course...challenging in all respects....courteous and professional staff....a little over priced....difficulty of course and many blind shots effects the pace of play, but Rangers and Spotters help.

Until 2 years ago, it was exclusively a course for residents of Danbury. However, it is now opwn for outside play and reservations can be made online. Very good course. No range. Has OK short game warm up area and putting green. Fair price for non-residents. Great course to play in the fall with the after the foilage has changed.

Richter Park is definitely worth playing. It's a challenging layout that is very scenic especially the back nine. It is tree lined and has water on 16 holes so it requires accuracy and ball placement. You'll find it a good test of your golf game.

Played Richter on 9/28/13. Course is in fantastic shape! Greens fast and true, bunkers full of sand, tee boxes very good. Pace of play was excellent at just over 4 hours. Since the course plays around a reservoir, water features come into play on most holes. A couple of blind tee shots (particularly holes 6 and 8) that can be very tricky if you don't know where you're going. Definitely a "must play" and one of the top 5 public courses in CT.
