The Torrington Country Club golf course was designed by Orrin Smith, New Britain golf architect and contractor. He completed the first nine hole course in the fall of 1928 and play officially started in the spring of 1929. The additional 9 holes were opened in 1932.

A lot of blind shots. It's in the hills so it's a lot of sloping fairways and side hill lies. You definitely need to be aware of the distances, which aren't marked as well as they could be. It's a private club.

Tournament conditions were the most difficult so far this year. Greens hard and fast; coupled with tough pin placements made it a difficult test.
