The University Club of Connecticut, formerly know as the Willimantic Country Club, is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Willimantic, Connecticut.
The University Club of Connecticut, nestled away in the northeast corner of Connecticut, was established in 1922 as a nine hole golf course. Over the years, the original nine holes have been incorporated into what is now a championship eighteen hole golf course, with the final six holes being completed in the early 1960's.
In the tradition of many old courses, the greens are on the small side, with modest undulations and good speed. The fairways are narrow and tree lined. Fifteen holes are bunkered and three ponds provide the finishing touches. There are three sets of tees to choose from, offering a fair challenge for all skill levels.
The University Club of Connecticut plays to a par of 71. The course is 6,271 yards from the back tees. The course rating is 70.3 and the slope rating is 123.

I played this course with a 2 for 1 deal going on, 2 golfers for $46 ($23 each). This included the golf cart. The course is an old design (which I like) and is very easy to play, no tricky holes. The fairwyas were in good shape, the greens were good, some very good. I recommend they spray to keep the mosquitos and gnats in check, otherwise I really liked this course and will play it again.
