Brandywine Country Club is an 18 hole golf course located in Wilmington, Delaware. This previously private course has now opened up for public play and still overs membership opportunities.
Brandywine Country Club golf course is an old-style layout which opened in 1947. There was extensive coursework done in 2004 and it reopened in 2005. It's not tricked up.
Trees are the main hazard. The greens, some of the best in the area, are lightning fast.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees, the course plays to 6414 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5459 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 16, a par-5 that plays to 524 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 17, a par-3 that plays to 155 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 6, a 448 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 17, a 155 yard par-3.
The course closed in 2015.

Played course with friends for a discounted price in a blind bid. Course had an exceptional rating when private. Bad tmes have struk and it is a shell of its former self. Now open to the public, it is a shame in how the quality has fallen. Will probably play it again because the tee appears to be relatively open on weekends.
