The Brooksville Country Club first opened for play in 1971. The course was designed by William F. Mitchell. The back nine has been redesigned in 2006 by Bobby Weed.
The new back nine at Brooksville Country Club, offers a golfing experience unmatched in Florida. Tumbling fairways weave through ancient Live Oak trees while a unique set of dramatic holes snake along, around, and in between the sheer rock walls of an abandoned limestone mine.
Brooksville Country Club features contoured and rolling fairways, uphill and downhill elevation changes and meticulously maintained greens. The picturesque backdrop of its three quarry holes creates a breathtaking course with a compelling visual appeal.
The addition of three quarry holes in 2006 has set Brooksville Country Club apart from the crowd. Many visitors remark not only about their championship course but also about their beautiful acreage that seems to be a world away from the average property in Central Florida, especially the holes that play along and through a century-old quarry.
The Brooksville Country Club golf course plays to a par-72 and a maximum distance of 6,812 yards for a course rating of 72.9 and a slope rating of 128.

I play the course every time I visit Florida's West coast. Always a fair and somewhat challenging course. Beware of the grain on the greens.

Fun course. Enjoyed the challenge offered by the quarry holes. Cold temperature made it less than a great day.

Forgiving course at times, well manicured. The back nine, very pituresque. Greens were fast and true. Fairways were in great condition. Greens well protected. A gem of a course. Personnel very friendly, including the restaurant. Food was very good.
