World Woods Golf Club, is a Resort, 45 hole golf facility located in Brooksville, Florida. World Woods
World Woods Golf Club includes Two World Class Championship Golf Courses: Pine Barrens and Rolling Oaks, a Nine Hole Short Course featuring seven par 3's and two par 4's, Three Hole Practice Course (i.e. par 5, par 4 and a par 3), the Practice Park featuring the circular 23 Acre Practice Range, with Chipping Greens and bunkers surrounding it, a 36 hole Two Acre Putting Course and an Iron Range and Putting Greens strategically located near the #1 tee of each Championship Course for last minute warm up shots.
The Rolling Oaks Course's name gives clue to its design. Oak trees draped with Spanish moss regularly accent the holes. Sharply defined bunkers filled with bleached white sand contrast beautifully with the rich green fairways. These attributes coupled with the many Azalea bushes present in the landscaping are reminiscent of the famed Augusta National.
The beautiful rolling fairways that lead to undulating greens add drama to this somewhat traditional course design. Many changes in hole style and length create a great blend of holes that requires a variety of shots and a strategic approach to score well.

About 1 hr N of Tampa airport. This is a golf facility...no residences or other accomodations on site. Off season rates are more than acceptable. Fairways are wide. Many holes finish with elevated very undulating greens. Overall maintenance is well above average for a FL course. Clubhouse facility is spartan, but, staff is quite friendly.

Great dollar value in off season. Out of my range in season

Nice facility, but not conveniently located. Greens were a bit uneven, but in general the course was in nice shape and was clearly marked. I would play the course again, but would not plan a trip around a visit to the course.
My foursome played both the Rolling Oaks course and the "sister" Pine Barrens course and had a great time with the Pine Barrens being the more memorable layout.
We did not take advantage of the practice facility which is supposed to be excellent, due to a frost delay. The staff policy is no use of any grassy area during a frost event, this includes the practice facility.

A must play for all golfers. Our group included a 4, 14 and 30 handicap players, and we all enjoyed the course and had a great time togeather. No complaints from anyone.
