Ocean Palm Golf Course first opened for play in 1959. The course was designed by Fred Bolton. Lloyd Clifton redesigned the course in 1974.
Ocean Palm Golf Course is located near the beach and adjacent to the Intracoastal Waterway. The course is mostly flat, but there are a couple of hills on holes #7, 8 and 9 that can cause uneven lies. The greens are small, a variety of shapes, undulating, and slightly elevated. There are five ponds that come into play on four holes. There are palm trees and homes lining all the fairways.
Ocean Palm Golf Club plays to a 9-hole par-33 and maximum 9-hole distance of 2,318 yards. The course rating is 62.2 with a slope rating of 103.
The signature hole is #6, a 250-yard, par 4, with water in front of the green, and large mounds plus out-of-bounds stakes behind. Clubs are available free of charge.
