Detailed description of Kissimmee Bay Country Club

Kissimmee Bay Country Club is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Kissimmee, Florida.

Kissimmee Bay Country Club first opened for play in 1990.The course was designed by Lloyd Clifton.

Locals say that the front nine is easier than the back nine.  Water hazards (thirteen ponds) come into play on sixteen of the eighteen holes.  The first three holes are lined by trees, but the rest of the holes only have a few trees scattered alongside their fairways. The mostly large greens are slightly undulating and three are peninsula greens.

This club has an aquatic driving range complete with three island greens.

Started in dense fog that probably should have delayed starting. Group in front was extremely slow, playing from incorrect tee for their skill level (teeing off on whites to hit it 20 - 30 yards beyond reds, could have moved up to silver, or the reds). Also hunted for balls on most water holes, if they were close with their shots. No playing through and no other group in front.

Bottom line: I would play again

We were overcharged by $10 each when we got there from what we were told. Ross the man behind the counter was rude and not helpful at all. No cart person or beverage cart on an 83 degree day. Greens were beat up by winter play I guess and fairways about the same. Would stay away at any cost. Not good quality in what is supposed to be a nice "country club".

Would travel: 0-10 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I won't play again, I wouldn't recommend this course

This was our first round of the season (last round was in late Oct. 2013). It was a great spot for the first round. Grass tees, great price and we purchased the "All U Can" package ($15pp) which included a breakfast sandwich and drink before, hot dog and drink at the turn, unlimited range balls, and a round at both Kissimmee Bay and Remington. For $85 for two people teeing off at 10:00am, it was fantastic!

Would travel: 0-10 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: Average course for the area

Due to some rather out of season rains lately the course has recovered from the "doldrums" that have plagued most of Central Florida's courses over a very dry winter season. This little jewel is recovering nicely. Still some problems with the greens fully recovering, but well worth the price to play. Minimally challenging, but a real fun track.

Would travel: 30-60 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing
