Detailed description of Spruce Creek Country Club

Spruce Creek Country Club is a Semi-Private 18 hole golf course located in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Spruce Creek Country Club golf course opened for play in 1971. The course was designed by Bill Amick.

Spruce Creek Country Club is part of a secluded, private gated fly-in community, “Golf Digest” has listed the course as one of the top 5 courses to play while staying in the Volusia County area. The front side features tree-lined, undulating fairways with generous landing areas. The back nine is more open, and susceptible to the wind, featuring seven holes that play into water. This championship course is a challenge for golfers of all skill levels. There is a modern practice area with a large grass driving range, two putting greens, and a large short game area for chipping, pitching, and bunker play.

Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6,894 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,176 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 12, a par-5 that plays to 525 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 4, a par-3 that plays to 171 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 8, a 520 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Spruce Creek is # 17, a 203 yard par-3.

Course condition wasn't good. Fairway without grass, hard to play

Would travel: 0-10 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: Average course for the area, Better courses for less nearby

Good course, excellent staff (pro and on course), restaurant staff seemed overwhelmed with just our small (11) group.

Would travel: 30-60 Miles
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing
