Carrolwood Country Club -Pines/Cypress/Meadow, is a Private, 27 hole golf course located in Tampa, Florida. The course briefly changed its name to Emerald Greens Golf and Country Club but has now changed back to the Carrolwood name, which helps it more closely be identified with the neighborhood in which it is located.
The course is one of the only private country clubs in the Tampa area to feature 27-holes of championship golf. Initially opened in 1971 and designed by Ed Ault. The course has been renovated by golf course architect, Dan Maples.
Carrolwood Country Club has three nine hole courses that are played in three eighteen hole combinations.
The Pines Course is the most difficult of the three nines because there is more water and more difficult par 4's.
The Cypress Course is the narrowest of the three and has more out-of-bounds areas.
The Meadow Course is the easiest of the three because the holes play shorter.
Each 18 hole venue is a par 72. Each combination averages 6,900 yards from the blues, about 6,450 yards from the whites, 5,400 yards from the red tee boxes.

As noted in your description, the name has changed as of nearly four years ago to Emerald Greens Golf and Country Club. It has been under new ownership and management since that time. You must be a member to play the course or be a guest of a member, as it is now a completely private club. That said, each 9-hole course has undergone a complete renovation from tee to green, including dramatic redesigns of many holes and new irrigation systems. The Cypress and Meadow courses are in excellent condition, and the newly renovated Pine course should be opening within two months. They also have excellent food, a brand new clubhouse facility, swimming pools, American Clay courts and much more. All around, it was an excellent experience.
