Sarasota National Golf Club is a semi-private 18-hole golf course located in Venice, Florida.
Sarasota National Golf Club opened for play in 2008. The course was designed by Gordon Lewis.
Sarasota National has very generous fairways and very challenging putting greens. Located only 5 miles from Venice Beach the course has a very windy reputation which adds to the challenge of the round. One of the wonderful aspects of the new course is the grass on the fairways and greens. Tif sport fairways and Tif eagle greens provide an optimum playing surface which doesn't have to be overseeded for the winter months. Water hazards come into play on 10 holes but are mostly harmless from the front tee area. Safe routes are available, as there are really no forced carries - except from the tips. Long hitters will appreciate the opportunities to grip it and rip it as three of the par fives measure 560, 608 and 648 yards, with one of the par fours at 489 yards.
Sarasota National is managed by Troon Golf. There are 4 sets of tees that play to distances and slopes measuring a long
