Orchid Island Golf & Beach Club first opened for play in 1990. The course was designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay.

This beautifully well-maintained course is a typical Arnold Palmer design. The greens are medium-sized and somewhat undulating, while the fairways are partially lined with trees. Several water hazards come into play, so shot accuracy is essential.

Orchid Island's is one of just a handful of barrier island courses in Florida. The course integrates lakes, dramatic vertical and undulating relief, and a natural blend of historic oaks and lush tropical landscaping. As a result of careful environmental practices, the course also plays host to a wide variety of wildlife. On any given day, players may spot an otter, a bald eagle, white pelicans or rosette spoonbills.

Golf Memberships are limited to 325, which ensures uncrowded play even during peak season.
