The Hooch golf Club is an 18 hole executive golf course located in Duluth, Georgia.
The Hooch Golf Course opened for play in 1998. The course was designed by David Johnson and Grant Wencel.
The Hooch Golf Club is one of the top executive length courses you will find. Although it only stretches to 4,100 yards and has a par of 61, The Hooch golf course has seven par-4's and eleven par-3's. The course rating is 60.1 and the slope rating is 102
David Johnson, the course designer, said, " I wanted players to hit nearly every club in their bag and be tested mentally. The design is strategic with plenty of risk versus reward opportunities. Water comes into play on nine holes and the greens are fairly small, requiring precise approach shots. One of the things that gives me the most satisfaction about the Hooch is that every time I visit the course I see an amazing cross-section of golfers; parents playing with their kids, ladies, seniors, weekend golfers, and low handicappers."
The Hooch is a great practice facility. In addition to the course, there is a 12-acre, lighted driving range and putting and chipping greens with a deep-faced practice bunker.

Executive Course. I didn't like that the price to ride and walk was the same.

Only executive course in North ATL. I like playing here b/c it is close and usually in good condition. Main issues are price... $60 for a short course is steep.. which makes you want to pay $70 at one of many full courses around town. Pace of play sucks too. Anytime it is just two of us, they team us up with two hackers and the vibe is kinda lost. Overall, if you are a beginner, it is a great place to begin if you can afford it. Also a great place for a date. The girls love it. Have fun.

visiting in Atlanta went on-line to find a local golf course to play and ran accross "The Hooch" loved the name and that it was a shorter course. Played in just over 3 hours including waiting a few minits for the 4-some in front to clear the greens. The staff were very friendly and gracious. The coourse was a blast to play. unless you and a very good shot maker bring some estra balls. Next time in Atlanta I will play this course again!!!
