Lost Plantation Golf Club, originally named Willowpeg Golf Club, is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Rincon, Georgia.
The golf course first opened for play in 1988. The course architect was Wade Northrup.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,833 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 4,957 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 16, a par-5 that plays to 541 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 5, a par-3 that plays to 152 yards from the back tees.
Water comes into play on one hole on the front nine and four holes on the back nine. The layout blends several birdie hole opportunities along with more challenging holes.
Lost Plantation hosted a TC Jordan Tour professional event in the 1990's and developed a reputation for outstanding greens. In the early 2000's the course changed hands several times and seemed to lose direction and was descending on a downward spiral in conditioning and customer service resulting in fewer golfers, less revenue, and continued deterioration.
Thank goodness there has been a turnaround and the course has returned to its former high standards. The city of Rincon acquired the course in 2010. In July 2016, after 10 years as an assistant professional at the Savannah Golf Club, Josh Williams, became the head professional and general manager at Lost Plantation.

Hilly, wooded course with many interesting holes less than an hour from Hilton Head and convenient to Savannah Airport. Long a favorite layout, much better now with rebuilt greens and the new superintendent has this track in great shape. A little ragged around the edges... old carts, no hot water in shower of dirty men's bathroom. $23 senior rate, including cart, if you're 50 or older. Course winds through moderate to upscale neighborhood. Some of the houses, especially the newer ones, intrude a bit and they're still building, but about half of the holes are in wilderness. Definitely worth playing.
