Savannah Golf Club is a Private 18 hole golf course located in Savannah, Georgia.
The Club can trace its origins as a golf club to 1794. The course was designed by Donald Ross and opened for play in 1926. George Cobb redesigned this course in 1963, and again with John LaFoy in 1977.
The tree-lined course has plenty of sand bunkers, ditches and berms incorporated into its design. The fairways are rolling, causing many uneven lies.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6,338 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,409 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 3, a par-5 that plays to 513 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 5, a par-3 that plays to 129 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 6, a 433 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 10, a 470 yard par-5.
