Ko Olina Golf Club is a great island course in fine condition. The course provides all the good things available in Hawaii golf. Great weather, great condition, beautiful views and floral/fauna. What's not to like. I gave the course a 5 star for value. I was able to play at the weekday after 1pm military rate of $55. The rates when I played were $179 before noon, $149 at noon, and $119 after 1pm. The military rate was $75 before noon, $65 at noon, and $55 after 1 pm. So, at the military rate, the course was a real value proposition. Thank you Ko Olina for showing appreciation to the military.

When we visit the families time-share at Ko Olina, we always play this course on the last day. Mainly because we'd be spoiled for the rest of the trip. If you are fortunate to catch it on a less than windy day, it may play a bit easier, but with the wind it is extremely challenging. The par 3 16th at 203 yds from the white tees required a driver as it played straight into the wind. Still the ambiance, the natural beauty (yes you do drive under a waterfall), and the course conditions makes this a favorite, even with the price, which is not cheap.
