The Golf Club at Timber Pointe first opened for play in 2003. The course was designed by Mike Schulz.
The course is a links style layout, with plenty of mounding in the fairways that will offer some challenging lies. A few fairways are tree lined and all are bordered with a standard cut of rough. The undulating greens vary in size and roll fast. Water comes into play on a few holes, and there is ample bunkering throughout the course.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 7,077 yards. From the foward tees the course plays to 4,955 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 3, a par-5 that plays to 584 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 14, a par-3 that plays to 137 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 3, the 584 yard par-5 challenge is the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at The Golf Club at Timber Pointe is # 14, the short 137 yard par-3.
The course has 5 sets of tees to accomodate different skill levels.

From tree-lined and tight (#3) to a wide-open links style (#11), you get quite a variety to keep it interesting and challenging. It is also far from being a flat and boring terrain. The water and bunkers are well placed and encourages even us amateurs to practice course management. The course also takes you through all the clubs in your bag and allows all to "Grip It and Rip It" at times while also requiring finesse to keep us humble. The course itself is only bettered by the awesome staff who are friendly, personal, and a terrific group love the game and their guests.

This was an outstanding course with an amazingly friendly staff. I drve just under 90 minutes to get there and it was worth every mile. The course has a variety of tee boxes and it definitely can challenge any level of golfer. The staff was probably the best ever. They went out of their way to insure that our experience was memorable. They probably thanked us for making the trip at leaast 5 times. I'd highly recommend this course and will definitely be playing it again!
