I hadn't played the Scott AFB course in quite some time and now I remember why. My wife and I arrived last night at 6:30 to see if we could get in at least nine. Even without a cart they charged us $32 bucks. No wonder there weren't more than 4 groups on the course on a beautiful evening. The course was in poor condition. Row after row of clumpy dead grass lined areas of fairway. The greens hadn't been rolled in quite some time and under/unrepaired pitch marks were everywhere. Some of the traps were nice but most were hard, dirty or filled with black water. The ponds all had so much moss that you couldn't see water. It's also set up quite oddly with 7 to 8 sending you backwards and across the road. Clubhouse is closed early and the pro-shop is less than appealing. I wanted to let my wife demo a putter but they didn't have ANY. Never again.
