Vernon Hills Golf Course first opened for play in 1979. The course was designed by Ken Killian. Dick Nugent, redesigned the course in 1996.
The Vernon Hills Golf Course golf course features narrow fairways and small greens. The terrain is rolling with a creek that meanders into play on seven holes. Vernon Hills is a great test of golf for all skill levels.

The course becomes more difficult as the leaves come out and the natural growth around the creek (weeds) grow. Number 7 is one of my favorite par 3 holes in the area; a 25 step climb to an elevated tee shot. Number 8 is my most hated hole in the area, a large tree on the left side seems to always be in my way! Overall, a fun course to play except for hole number 8.

Just a nine hole course. Not recommended for really good golfers but very challenging for 12+ handdicappers due to it's narrow fairways and small greens.
