Paintsville Country Club is a Semi-Private, 18-hole golf course in Paintsville, Kentucky. The Paintsville Golf Course is situated conveniently between the Paintsville Lake State Park and the Jenny Wiley State Park and just minutes off the US 23 Country Music Highway.
Paintsville Country Club first opened for play in 1929. A true Kentucky original, the course was one of the first 18-hole golf courses in Eastern Kentucky. The course design was the vision of Dr. Paul B. Hall, a member of the Kentucky Golf Association Hall of Fame, and brothers C. Mitchel Hall and Dr. Lon C. Hall.
The front 9 of the course boasts rolling fairways and several elevation changes, while the back 9 proves to be quite a challenge with two lakes, each adding difficulty to your play. At some point, you will cross the famous swinging bridge as two tee shots (hole #10 and hole #17) will need to carry the Big Sandy River. The natural beauty of the area only adds to the golfing experience.
