Carved out of the swamplands of St. Charles Parish, Grand Ridge Golf Club has water hazards that come into play on 10 of the 18 holes. This tree lined course places a premium on accurate tee shots to be well positioned on the fairways. Their Greens are also Bermuda and are well known for a “nice roll.†The signature hole is #2, a 518-yard, Dog Leg Left, par 5, requiring a tee shot over a pond up a narrow, tree-lined fairway.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6,853 yards. From the foward tees the course plays to 5,517 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 13, a par-5 that plays to 545 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 6, a par-3 that plays to 120 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 5, a 428 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Willowdale Country Club is # 14 a 175 yard par-3.
Four demanding par 5's highlight the Grand Ridge Golf Course. Greens were pretty bad, which is odd cause we've had a wet summer. Not sure if they were never aerated or just poorly maintained. However Willowdale is my home course, and when it is in good condition it is the best value in the metro area.

Course should probably be slightly cheaper for the conditions or better maintained for the price. Also would like to see a full driving range to work out the driver before teeing off on a course with as many houses.
