Beaver Creek Golf Course first opened for play in 2002. The course was designed by Craig Schreiner.
Beaver Creek Golf Course is an eighteen hole links style course. This public course is owned and operated by the parish of East Baton Rouge. The course is constructed on 200 acres of rolling terrain, intersected by several lakes and natural waterways. The generous fairways are a mixture of open and tree lined, with many ancient oaks throughout the property. The challenging greens are guarded by strategically placed sand and grass bunkers. Beaver Creek plays offers multiple tees to accomodate all skill levels.
Located only 20 minutes from downtown Baton Rouge off of Highway 61 in Zachary, BREC's Beaver Creek Golf Club is an outstanding public golf facility. On the plains of northern East Baton Rouge Parish, Beaver Creek features a windswept front nine and a sheltered back nine that meanders through protected wetland areas. The par 72 layout will provide golfers with many unique shot making opportunities. For example, the double green on holes 5 & 7, holes 11 & 12 play around a beautiful lake, and holes 13,14 and 15 traverse a large wetland area.
Beaver Creek Golf Club plays to a par-72 and a distance of 6,950 yards from the longest tees. The course rating is 73.1 and the slope rating is 125.
