Frey Island golf course first opened for play in 1970. The course was designed by Geoffrey S. Cornish.
While the course has only nine greens, there are two sets of tees (Gold and Silver) that allow an individual to play eighteen holes with a different look on each nine. There is also a set of Red tees for the ladies.
The 9-hole, par-36 course plays to a maximum distance of 3,255 yards for a course rating of 35.0 and it has a slope rating of 123.

Not a busy course during the week, you can jump around if a slow poke in front. Lots of wildlife. Always groomed. The only drawback is you have to take a $30 ferry to get to it but if four go in one car it's well worth it. Try their root beer floats - delicious!
