The Penobscot Valley Country Club golf course first opened for play in 1923. The course was designed by Donald Ross. In later years it was re-newed by Ron Forse.
This course's design includes greens that are very small and well bunkered. The course was built on rolling terrain, so be prepared for some uneven lies. "Golf Digest" rated this course as the 5th "Best Public Course" in the state for 1996, and as the 4th "Best in State" course for 1997-98.
