The Groton Golf Course opened in 1950.
Owned by the Town of Groton, it is open to the public regardless of residency. The grounds include a golf course, heated pool, snack bar/lounge, indoor golf facility and The Fairways reception hall. The Groton Golf Course is a nine-hole "links" style golf course is challenging and scenic with small, well-manicured greens.
Par for the course is 35. From the back tees the course plays to 3,003 yards. From the foward tees the course plays to 2,429 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 8, a par-5 that plays to 485 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 4, a par-3 that plays to 159 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 3, a 418 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Groton Country Club is # 2, a 280 yard par-3

Cart paths in need of extensive work. Town supported course with a low play per day count. Open tee times almost anytime. Public course trying to be better. First three holes tough assignment for average player.
