Widow's Walk Golf Course was constructed on the former site of the Boston Sand & Gravel Company. This regulation eighteen hole course is situated in an environmental preserve, along the Atlantic Coast. From hole #8 you have a fantastic view of Cape Code and on a clear day, Boston can also be seen.
The Course is challenging enough to prevent the mind from straying, but when you reach the elevated tee of the downhill, par-3 17th hole at Widow's Walk Golf Course it's impossible not to spot the house in the distance with the architectural feature that gives the course its name and logo. Imagining a woman ascending to the highest spot of the house, hoping for the return of her seafaring husband, is a tough image to shake. Then you snap back to reality and realize the 17th at Widow's Walk is one of the toughest par 3s around ---- Michael Whitmer, The Boston Globe, April 29, 2010.
There is an abundance of wildlife that can be seen in and around the golf course. The course is challenging due to numerous trees around the fairways, many out-of-bounds areas and the fairways being very narrow in width. This is a course that rewards accuracy more than power.
Widow's Walk Golf Course measures 6,403 yards from the back tees and plays to a par-72 . The course rating is 69.8 with a slope rating of 123.
