Charlevoix Golf Course is a Public, 9 hole golf course located in Charlevoix, Michigan.
Charlevoix Golf Course first opened for play in 1896. The course was designed by Willie Watson.
This is the third oldest course in the U.S. The course is located across from Lake Michigan and provides outstanding scenery for the golfers. The fairways are lined by trees and bordered by a standard cut of rough. There aren't any water hazards on the course, but there are plenty of sand bunkers.
Par for the course is 36. From the back tees, the course plays to 3,005 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 2,401 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 9, a par-5 that plays to 464 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 3, a par-3 that plays to 179 yards from the back tees.
The easiest hole is # 1, a 284 yard par-4. Watch out for # 5, a 355 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. #5 requires a tee shot up a narrow fairway; then an approach shot to a well-bunkered green guarded by a tree situated in the center of the fairway approximately fifty yards in front of the green.
