This was a short 18 hole layout (5,087yds) before the 2.8ml renovations in Sept 2015 - June 2017 and now its shorter 4,687yds BUT was a nice practice facility they added. They kept 11 holes the same and added/redesigned 7 new holes with conditions that are very good considering the dry weather. Average size greens that fit into the 1928 design layout that have trees separating side-by-side fairways that were mowed to give a flowing view to a mostly straight away hole. They looked like they added some more sand traps in the landing areas to keep the long drivers at bay from driving the 240 - 275yd par 4's for easy up and downs. Greens were soft/true in great shape holding the many low irons they must receive on this heavily played city course. The practice area has three (3) large greens with sand traps and grass areas to get the short game under control with many elevation variations to practice from. (the best I've seen at any course) From the tips the front is 2,263yds / Par 33 and Back 2,424yds / Par 32 playing at 63.1 / 107 slope Par 65. They have three (3) Par 3's at 197, 234, 228yds that will test anyone as they hold their own being protected by traps and design. I shot 35/33 with 33 putts and got a good workout on course management using a 3w - 4 iron off the tee to the wider landing areas instead of just bombing the driver and ending up in the trouble areas. Worth stopping in if you are looking to give your driver a rest and work on your placement shots.
