Tamaracks Golf Course, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Harrison, Michigan
Tamaracks Golf Course first opened for play in 1982. The course was designed by Steve Hawkins.
Tamaracks Golf Course has water hazards coming into play on nine holes. The tree-lined fairways vary in undulation and the elevated greens are average-sized. Many holes require shots over water to reach the greens, such as on hole #18, a 360-yard, par 4.
Par for the course is 70. From the back tees the course plays to 5,760 yards. From the foward tees the course plays to 5,030 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 6, a par-5 that plays to 520 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 17, a par-3 that plays to 105 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for #10, a 350 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Tamaracks Golf Course is # 17, the 105 yard par-3.

The course is quite challenging, such as (holes #9 and #10 are my nemesis's), but it also has some easy holes, especially the par 3's. Hole #18 is another tough one - your 2nd shot is over water to a 2-tiered green, and shots that don't quite make it to the upper level can roll all the way back into the water. Water is a factor on 7 or 8 of the holes. They also put in 2 new holes across the street last year (#6 and #7), and they have matured nicely. The course is a great value - we had a coupon for 4 people for $88 from last year, and they honored it. The staff is very accomodating and friendly. The only con is that they don't have beverage carts out on the course, but will provide ice and beverages at the clubhouse. I will definitely be back, and recommend this course to golfers of all abilities.
