$21 (cart included), played on Saturday, October 2018 at 1:30 PM

Played here on return "Color Tour" trip following Hwy 23 along Lake Huron shoreline on Saturday. The course is now called Rogers City Golf Club (Public).

The Front 9 (3,071yd Par 35) was built in 1971 that is very established with pine/hardwood trees scattered along the fairways. They now have four (4) tee selections from Blues 6,096yds / 69 / 118 down to Reds at 4,776yds / 68.2 / 112 so there's something for every level. Website Back 9 scorecard is not correct to a current scorecard. Very good grass conditions throughout the course as they are leaving it a little shaggy with winter conditions around the corner. The Front 9's first three (3) Par 4 holes (372yd, 440yd, 393yd) start right out challenging you in keeping it straight and between the trees and don't miss right, its OB. The creek crossing #3 fairway is reachable off the tee so a 180yd 2nd shot will be your next test. Greens are typical size with slight movements (6-8) and very readable with the rolling hillside. The #6 350yd Par 4 has a pond catch area on the RH side of the green and sand trap protecting the LH side of this green location. Having this Front 9 located downhill, straightaway holes and in the trees, protect you from the blowing winds that are common to this area.

The Back 9 (3,025yd Par 35) is located uphill from the Front 9 and it was opened for play in 1999 and not protected from the winds. Although the views from up here offer some nice views of the surrounding area for colorful fall photos. The #10 469yd Par 5 starts you out feeling good but that will end when you walk off #13 green. Number #14 330yd Par 4 has pond on LH side to catch that draw off the tee trying to avoid the trees on the RH side. Now #15 436yd Par 4 gets you with dogleg yardage and position to see the green, stay right. #16 414yd Par 4 has pond LH side ready to grab that errant draw or take your chance with missing RH with small trees. Nice surprise in finding this fall colorful course still leaf free for $25 18/cart and not charging for my ride-along female passenger taking photos and verifying my 38/39 w/32putts, trouble-free round.

Would travel: 20-30 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area, Bargain priced based on quality and competitive area pricing, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing, Ranks with the best in this price level
