Being located just off I-69 and can see if its busy, make it a quick stop for a afternoon tune-up. The yardage is very fair in length and with a west wind can play ALOT longer than the card. Always stop in the afternoon before leagues for a quick walking 9 holes and have never been disappointed. Shot 40/16putts with a 15mph west wind in 1hr 45minutes walking at a steady pace. Never have tried food or anything else in the clubhouse, just golf.

Sand traps could use attention. Sand is very course and traps do not drain well after a rain. A few holes have a long carry to reach the fairway. The golf carts need updating. I have played this course for 20+ years without seeing many upgrades. Still one of the best public courses in the area. Excellent value.

I have played Genessee quite a few times and the course is always in excellant condition. The rules are sufficent but not overbearing and the course runs smoothly. The only con that I can honestly say is that it is kind of difficult, but saying that it is still fun and trying. It is where I would take an out of town buddy to play.

I found myself back in this area, saw the sign "18 hole w/cart for $18" and made the no-brainer stop. The parking lot was full but the front 9 was open to #6 so I gladly paid my $18 and away I went.
Even though we've been in a drought, everything was green from tee to the large holding greens. Playing from the Blues/tips at 6,867yds / 73.2 / 133 this straight-forward, tree-lined Links layout will have you hitting 3 iron - 3 wood on 2nd shots into the seven (7) 380yd par 4's. Greens are very friendly from the front, up and downs can help save face on your score.
The only two holes that play a little tricky are #8 and #18 as the others are mostly straight away. Number 8 is #1 hcp par 5 @ 542yds with a creek crossing about 420yds from the tee box. I hit driver, 5 iron then 7 iron to the green as 2nd shot landing area is tight. Number 18 in the #2 hcp par 5 @ 576yds to an elevated green that is just plain.......Long. Enjoyed my 3hr loop and shooting 39/39 w/30 putts, having driver and long irons finding good landing areas.
Worth the stop, if looking for good conditions at low prices and located just off I-69 west of Flint.
