Angels Crossing Golf Club, is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Vicksburg, Michigan, south of Kalamazoo, just off Route 131.
Angels Crossing opened for play in 2004. The course was designed by W. Bruce Matthews III.
Working with 350 acres, Matthews combines generous fairways, large undulating greens and bold bunkering with natural, unspoiled wetlands and native grasses on this, his only signature course. Fifteen of the eighteen holes are bordered by either Portage Creek, Barton Lake or the wetlands. The layout is spread out. The landing areas are generous. The greens are large, and many are elevated, sloping, and undulating with greenside mounding. If you're a student of course design, you will appreciate Angels Crossing's variety of challenges and design to include: a redan, cape holes, biarritz, and a punch bowl.
Five sets of tees ranging from 4,845 to 7,169 yards allowing everyone to select an appropriate level of challenge.
Black tees: par-72, 7169 yards, 74.3 / 135
Blue tees: par-72, 6749 yards, 72.3 / 127
Green tees: par-72, 6232 yards, 69.5 / 118(M), 75.2 / 131(W)
White tees: par-72, 5558 yards, 66.2 / 110(M), 71.8 / 121(W)
Red tees: par-72, 4845 yards, 67.6 / 113

the price will go up mid-May, but will still be under $40 I think. Even at that this is a terrific course. Multiple tee's will accomodate any skill. Huge greens, lots of bunkers. Course is well worth the money.

One important measure of a golf course is the uniqueness of the holes. Each hole on this course was different and memorable. The greens are huge with undulations-- high operating costs, but great to play! Each hole requires thoughtful play, not just a grip it and rip it layout. We played this course on the final day of a three day, guys golf outing-- a great conclusion!
