Oakwood Golf Course first opened for play in 1987. The course was designed by Doug Witham.
Oakwood Golf Course is a hilly course, The course has only a few trees that can alter your shots. The well-maintained greens are large, and the narrow fairways are cut short. In addition, water hazards come into play on three holes.
Oakwood Golf Course plays to a maximum 9-hole distance of 3,002 yards and a par-36. The course rating is 34.3 and the slope rating is112.
$16 (cart included), played on Sunday, July 2011 at 2pm
Just started playing golf. The only complaint that I have is the roughs are realy rough with knee to waist high grass. The new owner has a 5 year plan to make this a great course and get more members, players to come back. Had a lot of fun, the staff is friendly and willing to help and give advise. Will keep playing at this course.

Greens arent in good shape at all, locks of rocks in some fairways. Way over priced for a project golf course in progress. Has the potential to be a good course but with the attitude and the "want to" of this staff i dont see it happening.

The new owner has made massive changes to the course, and many more to come.great staff very friendly and helpful to the people. I would say in 2 yrs it will be one of the area's best courses to play.
