Lamar Country Club is located in Lamar, Missouri. Lamar Country Club is a 9-hole, par 35, semi-private golf facility with a park like atmosphere. While they maintain a stable membership base, they also allow and encourage public play.

Lamar Country Club first opened for play in 1952. The designer was Hood-Rich Architects out of Springfield, MO

The greens were originally built as sand greens and their shape and slopes have been maintained throughout the years. A good short game is a must as most greens slope dramatically from back to front. The golf course features Bermuda tees and fairways with bent grass greens.

The course was built on predominantly flat terrain, but there are some mounds that can cause uneven lies. Some of the fairways are doglegs, and water hazards come into play on four holes. The greens are medium-sized and as mentioned, most slope from back to front.
