Bogey Hills Country Club is a Private 18 hole golf course located in Saint Charles, Missouri.
Bogey Hills Country Club Golf Course first opened in 1962. The course was designed by C.H. Walters and Dennis Walters, Sr.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees the course plays to 6,447 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 4,902 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 3, a par-5 that plays to 585 yards.
Measuring 6,447 yards from the Championship Tees and playing to a par 71, Bogey Hills Country Club Golf Course is short by modern standards. Yet, what it lacks in raw distance, it more than makes up for in cunning and guile. This is a thinkers golf course ... a tight classic layout that demands tremendous strategy, yet gives an equal chance to the long or short hitter who opts for the right position from which to attack each hole. Featuring five sets of tees, Bogey Hills is truly playable and enjoyable for players of any skill level from tour professionals to juniors
Although there is truly something to highlight on every hole at Bogey Hills, the 3rd, 9th,13th and 18th stand out and warrant special mention.
#3, Playing 585 yards from the back tees, the par 5, 3rd hole is not only the longest, but toughest hole on the entire course. This is a true three-shot hole that demands accuracy as well as length. Trees line the entire left of the fairway, while the boundary fence lurks to the right. Once in sight of the green, the front left is guarded by a lake, while the putting surface is protected by bunkers left and right.
#9, another par 5 that plays 529 yards, and although short, it is among the tightest holes out there. With three lakes challenging both the tee shot and the green which slopes severely from front to back, your score is far from safe until you are at the bottom of the cup!
#13 represents both the best and most picturesque of their par 3s. Playing 203 yards from the back, the hole plays downhill to a green fronted by water. A small island in the water adds to the ambiance, but while the hole plays down hill, there is usually a prevailing breeze negating the height advantage.
#18, your final opportunity of the day will be your chance to conquer the tough 18th hole. Although not long at 369 yards from the tips, many a bet will be settled on this hole. A long iron or fairway wood will leave you short of the lake that guards the 18th green. A mid to short iron to a fast, undulating green will reward you with a birdie or par only if you can keep the ball below the hole on this slick green.
