The golf course at Missoula Country Club first opened for play in 1949. The course was designed by Frank James. Robert Muir Graves redesigned the course in 1977, and John Steidel redesigned two holes in 1987.
The golf course at Missoula Country Club is a traditional, established, tree-lined golf course measuring 6585 yards from the Championship Tees and 6264 yards from the Regular tees. The Championship tees have a course rating of 69.7 and a slope rating of 118. Men's par is 35-36-71. Playing yardage from the Ladies tees is 5541 with a par of 35-36-71. Missoula Country Club is the only private club in Missoula and is respected as one of the premier golf facilities in the region.
The small greens at MCC are fast and undulating. The signature hole is #17, a par 3, which was built right next to the Clark-Fork River and features an elevated green that is difficult to read.
