Sand Ridge Golf Course replaced Rushville's sand green course, Modisett, in 1997.The course was designed by course member Duane Lockmon and built by him and other course members.
The course has wide fairways, There is a water hazard on two holes and several grass bunkers on two other holes. There are no sand bunkers. The terrain is gently rolling. The greens are large and undulating.
The toughest shot on the course is the blind approach over a hill to the 5th green.
Par for the course is 36. From the back tees, the course plays to 3,062 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 2,775 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 7, a par-5 that plays to 580 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 3, a par-3 that plays to 140 yards from the back tees.
