This is without a doubt one of the best courses in the country. The course and service are second to none. Spectacular does not even begin to describe it. This is the third year in a row I have played this course and also shot my best score for this course. The course may actually be better now than three years ago. Service: you car is met at the curb by the staff -- they know you are there because you have to be buzzed in at the front gate. You take your shoes, they take everyhting else. Head to your locker -- it will have your name engraved on a tag. On the way, you will cross over the end of the water fall than begins at the top of the mountain and that rund through the clubhouse. This place is full of serenity. When you formally check in, stop by the free cookies and lemonade. Head over to the restaurant and get lunch -- decent menu, reasonably priced and great food. Your clubs will be loaded on your cart, which you board inside. The practice green and driving range are a short drive from the clubhouse. They do not nickle and dime you here -- range balls are included. A forecaddie is mandatory and you will need him. The course is difficult -- as it should be. It is also immaculate. Fairways are well manicured. Greens are fast, but roll true. Take some extra balls: you will likely need them. The rough and water eat balls. It is a difficult course, but a fair course. Had my best nine and round there ever this year, even though the back was 8 strokes higher than the front. You need to allow 6-7 hours to get there, unwind, warm up, play, cool down, and drive back to Vegas. This is not the time or place to rush. We usually always get a limo for 4-6 golfers. At $100 or so each way, it is only a little more each than a cab and a lot more confortable. We have always managed to play this course for $250, though rates as high as $500 are posted online. $500 is too much (for almost any course), but $250 is well worth it. This is not ranked as one of the best courses in the country for nothng.

Cascata is the best course I have had the pleasure to play. You are shown to the locker room where you find a metal tag with your name on a locker. You secure a cart in an air conditioned room and when done you return it to the same location. The greens were running at 11; the caddy said that they were slow. The course is hilly; you never see other players as other holes are not visible. The locker room is fully equipped with lotions, tooth brushes, razors, fluffy towels etc. The best part is the course itself. It is well maintained and takes second to no course in Las Vegas. If in the area, Cascata is a must even though the price is high.

Fairway/fringe bad shape. Caddies never fixed one ball mark during entire round so greens had tons of unfixed ball marks on them. Way over priced for conditions. Average muni as good. seriously disappointed by course - nice layout but way overpriced. Round took 4:40 to play. too slow for 3 three some.
