Peace Pipe Golf Club is a Private 18 holes golf course located in Denville, New Jersey.
Peace Pipe Golf Club first opened for play in 1960. The course was designed by Sid Lee.
An idea developed in the mid 50’s by Sid and Edith Lee after taking up golf, and suggestions from a few of their golfing friends they made it a reality. On their unused farm and orchard they started construction in the fall of 1957.With the help of their 3 sons, family, and friends they opened with 6 holes in 1960. In 1963 with the addition of 3 holes and a small club house, it became Peace Pipe Country Club.
This course sits near the Rockaway River. Holes #4 and #5 have water hazards coming into play. The signature hole is #9, a 323-yard, par 4, requiring an approach shot to an island green.
Par for the course is 35. From the back tees the course plays to 2451 yards. The longest hole on the course is #4, a 445 yard par-5. The shortest hole on the course is #8, a 155 yard par-3.
