The golf course at Ocean Acres Country Club first opened for play in 1967. The course was designed by Hal Purdy.

Built at different times, the front and back at the Ocean Acres Country Club golf course could not be more different. The front is open, often hitting to generous landing areas including well-manicured collars and greens that play relatively easily. Trees tighten up the back nine making it much more demanding, especially for the average player. Water comes into play on two holes including the course and area favorite par-3, 10th hole, featuring an island green.
